Language Boot Camp—Summer Session

Language Boot Camp is an intensive program which addresses language comprehension, phonics, sound symbol awareness, attention, and reading.  This program utilizes a combination of Interactive Metronome®, the Lindamood Bell LiPs program, Earobics, traditional speech therapy, and group activities.  This program is offered 6 hours per day, 5 days per week for 2 weeks. The success of this program depends upon consistent attendance and participation. Ages 7-14 only. This program is offered during the summer only.

Multiple sessions will be available throughout the summer of 2005. Advanced registration is required.

Kindergarten Readiness Program

Our Kindergarten Readiness Program is designed to jump start your child’s education with intensive instruction in sound-symbol awareness and other kindergarten readiness activities.  Much of this instruction is provided via computer with a trainer monitoring your child’s progress and providing instruction and assistance as needed.  Ages 3-5 only. 

Computer-Aided Language Instruction

We proudly offer these fine programs for ages 4 and up:

• Interactive Metronome, proven effective in the treatment of ADHD, including improvement in reading and language skills (ages 6 and up).

• Earobics, targeting phonological awareness, an important skill for reading success (ages 4 and up).

• The Rosetta Stone, originally designed to teach second language skills. This program is effective not only for helping those learning English as a second language, but also in stroke rehabilitation.

• Lindamood-Bell LiPs computerized practice (for those enrolled in the LiPs program).  Carryover instruction in phonemic awareness (ages 6 and up).

• Fast ForWord ®, proven to improve auditory processing skills and improve reading skills.

In addition, other assorted programs are included on an individual basis as needed to target phonics, grammar and other language skills.
